"I went to the center to watch the people for my role, but I quickly saw what a wonderful place it was, where the elderly could be dropped off for a day and have supervised fun and care. I studied them...and I've never seen such love."
 Marion Ross, Award-winning Actress

ONE's Mark Taper J.O.Y. (Joining Older & Younger) Adult Daycare and Adult Day Healthcare Program
gives you everything you would want in daytime care for a senior suffering from Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Post-Stroke Disability, memory impairment and other medical issues. This special and unique program is a wonderful alternative to help keep your loved one at home. It also allows family members to either work or to have respite from caregiving by providing seniors a safe and exciting place to go during the day.  All of this is offered in an intergenerational context in which seniors visit with the children from ONE's childcare center each and every day.

What makes ONE the right adult daycare program for your loved one?

J.O.Y. has a very low ratio of staff to participants, which provides participants with personal attention from loving staff. ONE's spacious rooms and secured outdoor patio offer each senior a beautiful environment in which to stretch their legs and their freedom of choice.

Each day at J.O.Y., we maximize independence and stimulation and enhance the quality of life for our participants. Seniors can participate and socialize in scheduled recreational activities: arts & crafts, current events, exercise groups, tai-chi, music, dancing, live entertainment, pet therapy and more.
Physical, occupational and speech therapy are available for those who need these services.
The J.O.Y. Program offers an award-winning intergenerational program which links our seniors with children from ONE's childcare in daily supervised activities. Whether it's rocking the infants or creating art projects together, loving bonds are formed and self esteem increases for
both our seniors and children.
We offer support groups for those participants who are in need of emotional support around some of their care issues. Some examples are our Stroke Support Group, Early Alzheimer's Support Group and Memories in the Making Group.
Caregiver support is available to our families and we offer assistance with accessing community resources.
J.O.Y. works with the needs of each participant. If they prefer some quiet time alone, or to stay involved in one of their favorite activities, J.O.Y. will see that their needs are met.

ONE provides care Monday through Friday, from 9:30 - 3:30. Extended hours are also offered from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Breakfast, lunch and a snack is included.

Our Adult Day Health Care program is Medi-Cal reimbursable. We accept some insurances as well as private pay, scholarships and grants. We are a licensed Adult Day Care facility (Lic.# 191222639) and Adult Day HealthCare facility (Lic.# 960000900).
